The City of Buenos Aires Police has dismantled a criminal organization involved in the illegal import and sale of goods. In large-scale operations in the Buenos Aires Province and the Federal Capital, goods valued at 120 million pesos were seized. These items were smuggled into the country and sold through virtual stores. The investigation, which began in early December last year, analyzed social media profiles and links to online stores, allowing authorities to identify the alleged leader and the physical spaces used as warehouses and display points. As part of the operation, raids were carried out in a gated community in the San Vicente district and in an office-warehouse located on Belaustegui Street 2500, in Villa General Mitre. During these raids, the person responsible for the criminal activities was located and charged. In addition, 31 phones and six vehicles were seized, along with a large quantity of electronics, perfumes, clothing, and other items. "This is the second operation of this kind since the one carried out in the middle of last month, which dismantled a similar organization," police sources reported.
